Our History

Our Roots

Beginning

Vince Anderson Trucking is Born

Our roots go back to 1945 when the founders of A&A Express first stated off in the Cattle business in Walnut Grove MN. The Anderson Family introduced a new philosophy into Minnesota’s livestock hauling business. Through honest work and the utmost attention to every detail, they gained the trust of cattlemen throughout the region.

Growing

A&A Express

Vince’s small family business began to grow quickly. In the late 1970’s, Vince Anderson Trucking, Inc. diversified as he expanded into the refrigeration arena. Through careful planning and input from customers, a new family business bloomed.

Roadrunner Transportation Systems

RRTS Acquisition

In 2014, Roadrunner Transportation Systems acquired A&A Express. Roadrunner’s strong position in the trucking industry has allowed A&A Express to streamline its operations.

Combined Fleets

Company Mergers

In 2018, A&A Express completed a merger with R&M Transportation (Omaha, NE), Sortinos Transportation (Des Moines, IA), and M Bruenger Co (Wichita, KS) for a combined fleet of 400 power units and 650 trailers under the leadership of The A&A Express Team.

Laurel Oak Acquisition

In 2020, Laurel Oak ownership combined with the A&A leadership team under Tim Anderson. A&A Express is taken back to its roots to concentrate on what we do best: long and short haul refrigerated transportation.
